Then I suggest you start by replacing both valve body o rings and the striker o ring reguardless of how they look....
Did it fire right for you before or did you get like this?

Also, pictures are always a big help. Make sure the striker buffer isn't in front of the striker and that you haven't put the valve in backwards. Those are easy mistakes to make.

i replaced all the o rings and oiled them up and after sputtering several times it finally worked. Thanks all for your input and help.
