I recently traded for a 48 ci 3000 psi tank. It is empty and when i shake it, there is a noise coming from near the top where you fill it. I am new to compressed air, so is this normal or is something loose. If so, what do i need to do to fix it?

The only thing that makes noise on my tank is the quick disconnect cord. I'd take it in to your local field or airsmith and have them check it out. Make sure you only post one thread on a topic...the mods will remind you...

your tank is fine when there is no air in the tank there is no pressure to keep the pin in the top of your bottle from moving when you fill it with air it will be fine.no more noise.

I second Chaos's conclusion.
