ok to start off ive owned many spyders so ive been around with every spyder probel you can have...to cut to the chase i want to start a project on some sort of spyder. at the moment i have an ion where i just fineshed building from litteraly nothing.But i want to know what model is easiest to mod and change.

specs i would like on the gun becasue i will basically change everything.

sonix probly. it top cocking and has a standard asa and is cheap. it will accept every spyder part. maybe a tl. i saw a tl on eabay for $50.

this is what i so far want to put ont eh gun..Ive decieded to not do any body milling or sanding or anything like that. just because i don't have that kind of access to materials. but i will make it LP. this gun will be used for woods ball and i allready have my ion for sunny and nice days and this spyder will be mech for rainy days and for certain fields.

Evil Spyder Venturi Bolt-ive used them before and i love it.

New Designz Spyder Pro Lock Low Rise Feed Neck-this is still pending on the gun i get

Hybrid Sparta In-Line Regulator-hybrids my second favorite company and these regs seem to work good on spyders as ive seen at my field

New Designz Spyder HP Valve-really made a difference in other spyders

Trinity Spyder Front Block Reverse w/LPC and Gauge- pending on gun i get but most likely getting

Psychoballistics On/Off Bullet Drop Forward-used before and liked them

BT Apex Spyder Barrel Kit-this gun will be a generally long range gun when i finish it.

venturi bolts are not for lp- they restrict air flow. you might also want to get a new striker and spring kit.

If your looking for a cheap MilSim marker the MR1's are getting pretty cheap with the MR2's and 3's being so popular.

yea... for "rainy days" id go MR1... its solid and there are less openings for crap to get int othe gun than most other spyders


refurb ones are about $50-60

i had an mr1 and i hated it. it looks gay with that vertilcal adapter you need for it. and i also dont want milsim. second i havea spring kit for it allready.oh yah and i thought the same thing about the ventri bolt. what bolt would you recomend for LP.

aka are experts in low pressure. it seriously says that on their web page. maybe mod the stock bolt. if your looking for a cheap reg a detonator- 20-$25 or i saw a cp on ebay for $30.

well the reason i wanted the body and frame to be cheap is becasue iam litterally going to gut it and put in all new parts anyway. and yes i love aka stuff. use to have a viking. but took the move from speedball to woodesball and then decieded to change my marker also.

oh u can buy a spyder imagine 03 body for $10, an imagine 05 for $12 and a pilot for $15 on firstcallpaintball.com


the 05 comes with the foregrip hose and bottomline and the pilot comes with the barrel.

then buy this dye single trigger frame for $23.
