Default Ronin Leg Holster Review...

Ok So I wanted a holster for my Phantom to use it as a side arm. I looked around and found a bunch of holsters, but this one caught my eye, as it is made to fit the Phantom. It even fits in the VSC set up.

Gun in Holster

First looks of the holster is that it is made very well. The stitching is not skimpy and the Velcro is long and well attached. It has two wrap around leg straps and a belt loop to keep it in place. I put it on my leg and it did not go anywhere. On the underside of the straps is a piece of fabric to keep the holster from spinning when on your leg. The straps are 2 inches wide and provide good support.

Back of Holster

Fabric on inside of straps

On the outside of the holster is 2 elastic loops to hold either 12g's or a 10 round tube. They are tight enough to keep them in place, but not so tight that you can not get them out. There is also a long pocket down the front that will allow you to hold either more 10 round tubes or an extra magazine. I put the 8 inch barrel in there for now.

Front Loops

Extra Pocket

The Velcro gun strap that hold the gun in place was long enough to fit over the gun and back into place. It held the gun securely. I had the gun strapped to my leg and I was jumping up and down trying to get it to come loose and it did not. (before you ask ,no I wont provide video of that )

My only complaint about the holster is the bottom is open so the barrel can come out, I guess that can be good and bad. Good because you can use a longer barrel if you want. Bad because you need a barrel sock to cover the tip in safe areas. I would have liked to see a Velcro cover or built in barrel sock to use. I may modify the holster and mount a sock to the bottom for that purpose.

Over all the holster is great. Comfortable and holds the marker well.

If you are looking for a sidearm holster I would recommend this one for sure.
