Default AIM annoyance

recently, whenever i close AIM by right clicking the icon, it closes and a window pops up saying that "there was a problem and AOL Instant Messanger was forced to close" what would be causing this?

lol, i get the same thing. Crappy programming from AOL is my guess. I'm considering getting a ripoff version soon cuz it's ticking me off too.

AIM isn't a Microsoft product..?

If you'd like an alternative to AIM by AOL, I'd suggest getting Trillian. It allows you to connect to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ at the same time in one client.
