Default I'm New and i got a prob w/ MR1

Ok im new. actually this is for my PB team. We got alot of spyders and some other guns, but mostly spyders. Now to the point. I think i read on another thread that you can push the cocking pin down in order to use the sight. I can push it down but only when the spring below it isn't in. the cocking pin has clicked into place but wont go down. I can push it down a little ways but it will just pop up. It wont lock like it will when the spring isn't there. I just want to know if i have assembled my gun wrong, and if so how do i fix the problem, or is this the way its supposed to be.

Oh and another thing. I have a problem, as i think many of you have had, with the stock. I can't see down the barrel with my mask on. I saw that one person cut theirs off. I wana know if this is a good idea, if i do do it then how will it hold up, or should i put a dot sight on?

you should put a red dot scope on it but unless you saw the top bar off (yes its a good idea) you wont beable to see the sight unless you get a raised sight rail. If you saw off the bar you wont need a riased sight rail

OK thanks. But what about the firing pin? Should it lock so i can see down the rear sight? or is it supposed to hit the spring for the striker?

The pin is a small matter if you get a rail that is either "raised" or "offset". There are *many* manufacturers that make attachments for the picatinney/weaver rail that is on the top of the MR-1. You have multiple choices here, so I'll go over them briefly.

1.) Raise the sight rail over the cocking pin. Avoids the stock and pin.
Here's a link for a part that'll do this:

2.) Offset the rail to the left, thus avoiding the cocking pin altogether.
Here's a link for a part that'll do this:

3.) Tilt the rail to the left 45 degrees, avoiding both the stock and pin.
Here's a link for a part that'll do this:

There you go...
