i'm pretty sure my E-99 avant has one of those. but i hacked mine apart. hacked the rail off, and hacked off the left side (kept the back though) cause it was a pain in the ass to cock the gun with my q-loader (or cock it back at all cause of the way it's made)

keeps you from getting bolt smacked in the goggles.
Even if you press your goggles up against the beaver tail the bolt wont hit you.
