LOL...and I wasn't feeling too bad during the pic either...that Beer tent came in very handy when the temp hit 81*...Irish Stout is a wonderful thing...

I had a blast. I'm thinking of going night shift so I can rejoin the band and get back into competing again. I have enough seniority in the prison that I can have my choice of any shift and almost any vacation day I want.

In the pic above, I'm wearing the Black Watch plaid (a District Tartan) because a kilt in my Clan's colors will cost me around $1K to have one made. There are 4 of us that can wear them (myself and the 3 daughters). My wife, would wear a sash called a Plaid that goes over the shoulder because she married into the Clan. Here are the 2 I have to choose from...


#1...the EWWWWWIE Ancient Clan Young tartan...This is the one that actually applies to my family. The original reference is so old, the colors vanished and this is the approximation of what it looked like. I'd have hoped they had a better imagination -.- ...


#2...the better choice of the 2. This plaid was redesigned in 1998 I believe. If I'm not mistaken, Clan Young was absorbed into Clan Douglas and in 98, they petitioned to separate into its own, distinctive Clan. With the approval from Scotland, the new tartan was created and this is it...


...a little 'loud' for me but hey...it's mine...lol

lol....yep, I am...and the Beer+sun in the eyes=yucky pics of me LMAO.

...and rip away, it's not like I never heard any of it before...lol. Just temember, in my right sock is the Skian Dhu and on my right hip is a Dirk....both of which are made for true battle (not costume quality) and sharp enough to shear a sheep!

Battle Dragons...metaphorically speaking, yes...there are a lot of ex-inmates that live right around me...and there's no real way to hide a S&W 629 Classic while wearing a Kilt...'nuff said ...

...and yes, I wore my Ghillies the first 2/3rds of the day and since they are hateful on the feet...I had to change into something more comfy for teh nightlife....muhahahahahahaha!!!
