Default Spyder Imagine Air Can't keep up with trigger ???

A friend of mine recently purchased a Spyder Imagine with the E grip used off of Ebay and it has a major issue and I am not able to help him. The trigger appears to be working correctly, without CO2 or N2 hooked up. I can here it clicking like it should in all firing modes, but as soon as we hook air to it and try to fire the gun it is spirratic(sp) at best. The gun will fire in automatic mode about every 4th or 5th time the trigger cycles and might do 2 0r 3 shots in a row and then 4 or 5 where it doesnt fire 1 that it will and so on. In semi auto mode it is the same way, in 3 round burst sometimes it will fire once and sometimes twice, but I have never had it fire all 3. Anybody with any Ideas as to what it could be and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

check the capacitor..its probably just not being able to store enough energy for the next shot..
if the end is bulging out then u need to get a new one..

But if that were the case would the trigger opperate normally while their was no air hooked up. I can watch the selinoid trip when the trigger is cycling? the capacitor looks fine physically so I am at a loss.

Also one other question along the lines of your first post, would a low battery or a 9 volt instead of a 9.6 cause this type of problem?

Yeah you have to use the 9.6 battery I've heard that problem with people using 9v batteries instead of the 9.6 battery.

are you saying the gun is spuddering or jackhammering? kind of like a rapid fire for a second or two? Maybe the gun is really dirty and not operating smoothly for that reason. just clean it up and lube the o-rings.
