u cant just have respect you have to earn it, u cant just expect respect like some americans (not all) do just because you live in america, respect is hard earned.

So the american team hasn't earned ANY respect?
I mean, they're good contenders for the world cup, they made it from being a fledgeling team, to being one of the top ten palced in the world cup.
You're right, respect is earned, earned by hard work, and by winning games, which is what they did. Give respect where respect is due.
Don't hold off just because you don't like a sport you obviously know very little about.

All that commercial does is illustrate the fact that the U.S. team is ragged on by almost all European teams because of it's "newness" to the sport, and encourage the viewer to support it's National Soccer team.

Soccer is very American, just look at the number of soccer players around. What makes it American is the people who play it, not the naysayers that discourage the sport because either they don't like that a newer sport is recieving so much attention, or they just don't like change.

That's my say on it. And I liked the commercial. Alot.

Ahhh im sorry ive played baseball for 11 years, football for 9, and paintball for 3. I still have no problem with this comercial.... So what... we got a new sport that europe has been playing for who knows how long...

Personaly i dont care what sport someone plays just as long as it is something athletic and keeping our nation from getting anymore obiese.... becasue its United we stand NOT United we sit (cause our children are so fat they couldnt even run a mile)

ya i dont really care i guess i was just getting opinions a lot of people at my school have beentalking negative of the commercial to put it nicely and i know my school isnt the world but i wanted to hear what u had to say, but if u think im a jerk i understand.
