Old or new Green Day?

I also stopped caring about musician's political statements and such about my Freshman year in college, especially when I found out that the politics are mainly driven by their label, not the musician. It's the almighty dollar that drives professional musicians these days, don't let what they say fool ya! They get "political" and "sentimental" AFTER they get rich...or before they start making it big!

I was listening to them back several years ago when most of you probably were just learning the Barney song and Bob the Builder and most everyone hated them because they were "weird." I agree with the sentiment that "I just listen to the song and not the message." I liked their old stuff, but I have to say, I like some of their newer stuff MUCH better than their older stuff. It just sounds better to me. I never listened to their anti America stuff or couldn't tell you what it was if I did hear it, but then again, it's the beat and sound of the music that gets me to listen, not the message. I'll let the young'uns worry about that.

I realized they suck once I started to play guitar. A monkey could play anything they have ever made.....but the old stuff is much better. It's more simple music I know, but it's actually thier music, like viking shadow was saying, once they made it big they started making music for the label not themselves.

I love old school greenday, although Holiday is one of my favorite songs of all time thats the only song i like off of American Idiot

Yea, I like thier old stuff too, It is more fun.. There new stuff seems too serious. And yes i agree with the comment made above, there music is Very easy, but hey, rock and roll in general is easy. Lol.

But yea there old stuff is diffenately better..

as far as the political points in their newer stuff, i honestly don't see a difference between celebrities' opinions and those of normal working class...meaning...since i probably dont care what your opinions are i probably dont care what theirs are either.
