Hello all,
It may appear that I am new to the forums but I am actually a very old member, I've been here for a good 3 years now I just never posted in the past. My old user name was shortgy but when the old KUSA crashed I made this name. I am an avid lurker of forums, I love to read all the posts but I never reply or add anything to any of them...usually because any question that has been posted has been answered already. Anyways.... I have a Dragun T.E.S. that leaks terribly through the front block. I have tried everything from replacing the valve and cupseal to adding teflon tape to all the o-ring groves to try and push out the o-rings and seal it better. But I have ran out of ideas. So basically I was wondering if any of you did any paintball gun work (like a shop or something) that I could send my gun too and get it fixed so it worked like a charm. I honestly think the problem is a flaw in the milling of my front block, but I really don't know. I really want my gun to work, it hasn't worked sense I bought it (something like 1.5 years old.) I have to assume some of you do work on guns, so PM me or leave a message in this thread so we can start communicating about it. Thx for the help Garrett |

Hey garrett, is it leaking from the screw hole or around the body that sits against the frontblock? The leaking problem is very common with these guns. If it seems to be leaking from the screw, put a small oring on it and see if it still leaks. If it does still leak, than I would put bigger orings on the frontblock.
Thats all I can think of for now but I will update this if I remember/see anything as I am fixing a T1 and TES for selling.

This is a very common problem with TES and T1's. Fortunately, I didn't have those leaking problems with the three I had, but I did read a lot about them.
First, do what Chubbs said, because that will probably work. Secondly, I know you said you tried it, but the only thing I can think of is to wrap MORE teflon around the OUTSIDE of the orings on the VA. (I assume it's leaking from the VA and not the LPC?) If you've done that, try putting the teflon UNDER the orings and see what that does. We'll go from there...

Thx for the advice guys, I'll try doing all that stuff and give an update.
I haven't worked on my gun sense last summer and so I've forgotten exactly what is up with my gun, but I'll do what I can. One question to add, The o-rings you guys spoke of, can they be purchased at a hardware store or do I need to order then over the internet from paintball-specific stores? Thx Garrett |

hardware store is fine, a oring is pretty much a oring.

Dragun (the company) uses those screwy green orings. But I think a standard tank oring can be used. I don't have my Draguns (the guns) anymore so I can't check, though. Since they don't move around, I would think if you can find one similar in size at your hardware store, it'd be ok.
Ok, Dragon (the super mod) - I guess I'm a lucky boy. ![]()

Well, I replaced all the o-rings and my o-ring on the screw that holds the front block in...the leaking has seemed to stop...but I only had about 30 shots left i'm my CO2 tank, I'll buy a case of paint this weekend and also get my tank filled then shoot my gun a whole ton and see what happens.
Thx for the help guys! Garrett |
