so tie it from the pin hole to the head of the pin? i still like the key ring idea though....

I used a key ring and it worked fine. It was not a brandy new one that was super tight. I used one of the old ones i had laying around and it was easy to get off when you needed too.

You can bend them so they're easier to get off, thats what we use on most sailboats for things that need to stay on, but come off easily.

a small saftey pin is the best imo. easy to get on and off yet holds the pin securely
