Default Victor Help

Ive been playng for 4 years now but I just bought a used Victor so my girlfriend could come play if she wanted. She played for the first time and loved it. this is my first spyder so i need some help. I know some of this might be covered in the "help" section but you guys seem like a better resource.

1) I am having trouble with getting the velocity up and also with "burping". Any suggestions on the most likely cause? (CO2 tanks werent the problem)

2) Say i wanted to put 100 bucks into the gun. What upgrades will give me the most "bang" for my buck? It came with a decent barrel.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Me personally if I was going to put $100 into it, I'd buy a HPA tank, used of course. The Spyder itself works fine as is, the compressed air will just give you more consistency and is easier on the internals.

As for the velocity/burping issue. You ruled out co2 tank problem, which would usually be my first guess. Next thing I would suggest is taking the gun apart and clean and relube everything, as well as check all orings. If after that you are still having a problem you might want to try getting a spring kit. They only run about $10 and this will allow you to adjust the spring tension on the valve and the striker. If you are having trouble with velocity and recocking (aka burping) I'd go with a light valve spring and start with a medium main/striker spring. The light valve spring will allow the valve to stay open longer so more air will flow through. This should increase your velocity and also help your gun recock better. Try those things out and let us know if it works out for you.

And Welcome to the Forum, never hesitate to ask any question, even if its a non-kingman/spyder question.

You could also polish the striker to get smoother movement of it. Otter's got a page telling how to do that.

id say a high flowing V/A and a expantion chamber would be good upgrades for the victor the V/a on the victor isn't compadiblt with regulators so u'll deff need one of those maybe and up grade bolt and a spring kid can help u with ur co2 problems
