meh...I'm far from what people commonly call an "artist"
To me "art" is a process...one that I happen to believe is just a certain set of things to do, in a prescribed manner, in which the outcome is aesthetically favorable or pleasing. I kind of think of it this way... 1. Get a picture in your mind of what you want as an end result. In this case, a leather hunter Sporran. 2. Get leather and make a paper pattern of the parts. 3. Trace a pattern onto the leather and cut it/them out. This includes 3D motifs like the Triquetra on the boss. 4. wet and stamp the leather, making sure that one strike isn't any deeper than another [unless that's intended]. 5. Stain the leather. 6. sew it together.
