My grandpas not doing too well...

hes 71 and was diagnosed with cancer a few months back after getting sick. he went to see a specialist and they were talking about starting chemo. a few weeks later he was back at home, back on his feet and feeling better. then i found out last week that hes in the hospital again. talked to my mom and grandma today and hes just in really bad shape and the cancer is spreading. theyve got him on all kinds of painkillers and its causing him to not be able to talk. they say he can hear and think fine, but he cant find his words. my mom was talking about flying over to germany to visit him, and the doctors said that it would have to be before april, so things arent looking too good right now.

Will pray for him. I'm in a similar boat. My grandfather has some heart problems and is in the hospital right now. He has either pneumonia or a blood clot in his lung. Based on the CAT scan they don't know yet. Not very good either way...

That's tough man. I too can relate, as my Papa is 74 now and in Stage 5 of Alzheimers. He is only a shell of what he once was. Regardless of your religious beliefs, just try to cling on to the fact that when he does pass away he won't be suffering any longer. I'll keep your grandpa and your family in my prayers.

thanks guys. i just got off the phone with him, and i could tell he was excited to hear from me. my mom told me not to ask too many questions, but he kept trying to ask me questions, but halfway through his sentences he would mumble and get frustrated because he couldnt find his words.

I just found out my grandpa is going to be in the hospital for Christmas. Very disappointing because my grandparents usually spend Christmas with us.

Hey man keep your head high i lost one of my Grandfathers to cancer 20 yrs ago and a best friend who was only 26 just 4 months ago i know the sick feel you are experiencing. Remember Death does not exist it never did. Prayers.
