spyder fenix wont fire

i just bought a used spyder fenix off of ebay. i tried shooting it for the first time today, and it didnt work. the battery has been charging for at least 10 hours and the low battery indicator is off, so i dont think that is the problem. whenever i pull the trigger, the gun makes the clicking noise, but it wont fire (and yes the safety is off), and i cant get the gun to uncock. the guy who sold it to me claims the gun worked fine when he shipped it, and i mostly believe hes telling the truth. is there something else that i need to do? i have very little paintball experience so any ideas would be apreciated.
