Default Tippman + VL = Gryphon?

I was browsing ansgear and I saw this....

"Gryphon Paintball is the brand new product line that is coming to the market by Tippmann paintball. With the initial release of the Tippmann Gryphon Paintball gun, we expect this line to be a mass produce and high quality big box store lineup.

Targeted at beginning paintball players, the Gryphon paintball products will be affordable and good quality so everyone getting into paintball a great product. Tippmann is currently designing and producing the Gryphon paintball gun lineup.

Check out the current products in the Gryphon product line."

if they did make one it would probably have to be built like a KT pistol only bigger, unless they got rid of the stbb all together

This Grypho is supposed to be a 98C internally. Both are blowback design so doesn't seem impossible that a Spyder could be done. I think the simplicity of STBB keeps Kingman in business. They tried straying a couple times but didn't seem to capture the audience too well with them. They have rolled the dice w/a couple other things lately as well with little hype as a result. Not too sure they'd want to make a single tube BB as another roll. A lineless Electra on the other hand would be the shizzz. Alot of other companies are going lineless. Why not be the first w/a lineless STBB? -

a lineless electra would be sweet but they would have to do some major work to the board to make it smaller so they would have room for a channel for the air. and would it be CO2 compatible/ would the board be able to take the coldness of CO2 at rapid fire? I guess this would all be up to the designers/engineers
