I've seen a lot of mods of the MR1 online but never had the guts to even take mine apart. I recently decided that if I'm careful that I should do it. Other than a barrel replacement what upgrades should i invest in?
Also, ive seen MR1s that have airsoft bodies as shrouds. How would i go about doing that for my MR1? |

A lot of it is custom work. But if you take a look around here in the MR1 section you can get a feel for what kind of mods there are. I think the best idea would just be to browse around a bit and look, most things are just a matter of removing a couple screws. Look at your manual for a breakdown of you gun. If you don't have a manual you can get it here.
Don't be afraid to take it apart, MR1s are pretty forgiving as so far as you can't really mess it up as with other higher end markers which include things such as pneumatics, electronics, etc. If you are unsure just ALWAYS refer to your manual. The exploded view helps a ton. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I would replace the spring, and feed neck to start along with a barrel...from there it would be all preference to how you play.
I would try to use friends equipment out before buying it to see if you like it as much as possible, you can find yourself buying allot of pointless stuff (or maybe just stuff that looks cool). and remember, you WILL NOT get a return value on it when you sell it. |

Some other things that you can consider that aren't too expensive that can bring immediate results are
New bolt (alamocitypb has a great selection for the mr1 and Ron is a cool guy) Use compressed air Find our what size bore your barrel is and find the appropriate paint to fit it. A barrel can be a good upgrade but the a player with a better bore to paint match will out shoot a player with a nicer barrel but a bad bore to paint match. If you are looking for a barrel i would recommend a 14" J&J Ceramic barrel, I got mine pretty cheap on eBay for about $23.00 I love it and have never gotten any breaks from it. If you look in my signature there are some things that I added on. But mostly everything thing there with the exception of the bolt and striker is for looks.
