That was for the VS series. You cannot do that with the MR1.

Um if you look where the detent goes you'll see that the space or the inset circle in the marker. The little hole is only for the nipple part of the detent so it's not really going to fall through. The only thing that can happen is that, the little nipple part get sheared off because the bolt slides over it. So the problem with the earlier detents was the they get sheared off (most likely your problem) and then there's now way to really regulate the paint flow into your gun.

they do sell metal ones for some guns maybe you could look into that
