Default It's been a bit...

I posted about a year and a half ago looking into different upgrade options...

I am thinking if going with a Palmers Regulator/Stabilizer but wasn't sure which would be my best bet...

I know Deano and some others used the Female Stab, but I was curious if anyone has used the Direct Stab on their MR-1.

Also, I was thinking that the hole in the gun where you screw the air hose in right below the valve was a standard 1/8" npt. A thought reinforced by a thread showing the mod for hooking the remote "directly" to the "clip" on the gun using a 1/8" brass nipple and coupling, though I am afraid I cannot remember who the OP for that walkthrough was...

I am thinking I must be mistaken as Deano went to a fair bit of work to adapt from the air line to the stabilizer as opposed to just getting a new air line, but I was looking at it wondering why I couldn't just get a new air hose with both ends a 1/8" Male fitting as long as my assumed knowledge is accurate.

Also, has anyone had any luck keeping velocities up while getting the pressure down with the stabilizers? I am shooting for 550-600 or so as acceptable to cover most of the temperature spans I would be playing in. I have polished some things, will replace the bolt (not sure on the striker since people have said going delrin on both causes headaches getting it to cock properly) and will likely either mod or replace the valve to get more air flow...

yes, the thread into the body is 1/8th NPT, so a direct stab will work.
