M can be expressed as the function:

M(t)= at+bt+ct+dt

a = interesting things I have to say
b = semi interesting things to say
c = uninteresting things I have to say
d = intelligent ideas that only I understand
t = time

you have to make c and d weigh more that a and b. i would go as far as claiming I(t)=at+bt+3ct+3dt.
