either one works for me, if you plan on putting shrouds, mock suppressors,apex ect on get a 16 so you have room for all the cosmetic crap.

red dot, or scope, i would go with whichever one looks cooler, because can you really use those for anything other than looks??
anyway, barrel length...i use 14 inch, but i got a 16 inch freak and it still only measures 16 inches !! idk whats up with that... but you should be good with either one
