Alright guys, i'm looking to buy a LP valve, and i'm torn between 2...
so here is the Madman Rocket Valve VS. AKA TORNADO Valve Thread. Can anyone tell me what the main differences between the two are? Are they major? and what would make me buy a $50 AKA valve vs, a $30 Rocket Valve?

The AKA is an AKA, it will perform better than every valve out there. It's up to you if the rarity and slight increase in performance is worth it to you. Based on your signature, you'd need a regulator to make it work properly, though.

If you are patient and willing to set the Rocket Valve up correctly I would go with the Rocket valve. I personally don't think the slight increase in performance that you get from the Tornado valve is worth double the price of a Rocket valve. You probably wouldn't even notice the performance difference between a properly setup Rocket valve and a Tornado valve, unless you were counting your paintballs and watching how much air you are using like a hawk.
That being said, Rocket valves can be a pain in the ass to setup. I've done it numerous times and its very time consuming to get it correct. If you are looking to drop a valve in there and be done with it, pay the extra money for the Tornado. If you don't mind taking some time to get the valve setup correctly, save some money and buy a Rocket valve.

Sorry, yeah I do have a regulator... I just need a valve to use it, or do I?
I have a Vigilante regulator, High-flow VA, and a drop forward ASA to complete the air system upgrade so what i'm hearing is the AKA is a better valve, and it is worth the money correct?

It most definitely is the better valve out of the box. It's AKA!
You don't NEED a valve, but if you wish to make it so your marker is LP, it will help you along the way more than you'd ever imagine. The Vigilante is also a very good regulator, made by Air America.

Don't know about Red, but I have owned both valves(amof every valve for Spyder's cept the Bandit) and noticed no monumental difference in performance gain from the AKA -
The Rocket valve just takes a bit more time for some to comprehend for some people. The AKA has always been ridiculously priced. They used to be $70 IMO the AKA is not at all worth the extra cash and have been hacking Spyder owners for years now with a monumental added profit for their pockets -

For me, being able to drop a part in and not screw with it is now becoming more and more important in my decisions. If it costs $20 extra and comes with the AKA brand name, that's worth it to me. It will also retain it's value fairly well, so when I'm done with it, I can revert the marker back to stock and sell the valve separately for about the same price as I got it for, less shipping to whomever buys it.
