Thats right found these the other day going through a box of truck parts to a truck I dont even have anymore!!
Made them back in high school, somewhere around late 2001. Basicly took scrap wood from other projects that was around 7/8" thick & planed it down to ~3/8". Then I took the stock grips and traced them on the wood. Drilled the holes, counter sunk them. Cut them on a scroll saw ~1/16" bigger than needed. At home, took my dremal & grooved it for the noid & battery. Back at school, hand sanded everything down to the right size. Followed that with a clear sealer. Played one day with them on & decided they were to nice to use on my main marker. I also have another set made from cyprus that I burned an outline ~1/8" from the outer edge & left bare. I also found in another box a drilled & drawn set on light red oak. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...alnutgrip1.jpg ![]() ![]() ![]() When I find the others, Ill post them also. |
