I was able to find a ruler and accurately measure the pin. It is about 1 3/4. So being as its the right size is something wrong with my tanks or something that they don't seem to fit right?

The next step is to check your tank valve. Take a Philips head screw driver and press down on the pin of the valve. Some air should shoot out if the valve is working properly. If it does then it's possible that the pin on the valve itself is too short.
Try placing a small washer inside the on/off knob and see if this compensates for the short valve pin. If this still does not work then you need to try a different tank... |

Alright I tested both tanks and they seem to work fine. Comparing the tanks the one pin seems shorter then the other. I would like to mention if I didn't already that these are co2 tanks not sure if there is a real difference between hpa and co2 pins though. How exactly would a washer extend the length of the pin though?

If there is any room for the on/off pin depressor to push forward farther the washer will take up that slack but if not then there isn't anymore options except to get a different tank or valve.
