What I don't like about the SLG is that it has alot of kick and I'm not to big on the stock trigger and feedneck, the trigger is ok but the feedneck is horrible. Also the stock barrel isn't the greatest but it isn't the worst

I voted for the SLG. A couple friends got them and absolutely love them. First things to swap out was the feedneck and the ASA. The trigger does take some getting used to... but I'd swap it out. The one guy can really rock the crap out of it though!

Definitely need a new feedneck off the bat... regardless! The other things are personal preference like everything is! Good luck!!!

Actually, I just remembered, the vibe is pretty tight. I tested that out at a field and it was better than the ion. Plus mike from techpb likes it

If you dont want a spyder, the SLG shouldnt be up there. Its basically a proto spyder.

I'd say a used pm5/dm4
those run pretty cheap.

No... The SLG is not a blowbacl, it's a spool valve that uses a sear, therefore nothing like a Spyder except that is uses a sear. Does that mean it will shoot like an 800psi Pilot ACS? Of course not, I've actually heard some great things about it from a friend who shoots it over his SFT Shockers. It's definitely not a bad choice, but you could do better.

Buy a used gun from $200-300 and take your pick of 2k5 Timmys, 05 Angels, DM5/PM6, insanely upgraded Ions, upgraded PMRs, and a whole lot more.

what are the advantages of the PMR to the SLG other than the clamping feedneck? I know the SLG doesn't use standard reg threads, but I really don't care because it has a hyper 3 on it.

An epiphany is basically a fancy ion but still without a b o b. So if you want easy bolt access you have to get a ion body anyway. Look into a used ion something with a freak barrel, new reg, trigger, grips, feedneck, board and maybe even a new asa. Alot if people hate ions but I would trust one as much as a pmr. I would stay away from a slg and if you have money for a new pmr look for a used mini instead.
