well, why can't they just sell them for less...now i may be completely wrong, i don't know much about this stuff, but here it goes...it costs what, like $1.00 to make a whole barrel kit, right. the engineering is already done on these types of barrels, so the design cost would also be low. with that, couldn't they sell them for 40-50 and still make enough profit?

but if they use a design that's already been engineered that would be infringing on somebody else' patent.

yeah, im pretty sure J&J has a patent on ceramic paintball barrels. i'm surprised SP hasnt come out with multi-bored AA backs and patented that as a multi-backed kit. they could screw everyone over like that!

Kingman could just sell different diameter backs individually that would work with the vs/rs tips. I have seen dye UL backs sell for $40 a pc. If spyder could sell them for $20-$30 I'd bye atleast 3 different diameters. A stainless steel back could be offered for an extra $10 more then the aluminum back. Angel sells a 4pc. set .687 .689 and .693 for $70 on action village. If they could keep a kit under $100 maybe it would cut into the freak market. There is alot of bad blood toward sp out there it would be great to have another alterative to the freak kit.
