Ok I was wondering if I should get a sight rail for my MR1.
Does it get the scope's aim closer to where the paintball actually hits? (I have a BSA red dot scope) Thanks -Andude |

A sight rail will just raise the rail above your bolt. Most sights have adjustments to tune where the aimpoint is compared to where your ball hits. You'll have to do that anyway with a sight rail otherwise you'll be aiming a couple of inches above your point of impact. Just play with it first, unless you really want the rail.

As other member stated, the sight rail just raise the sight. To aim closer you need a spacific scope, that gives you a closer vision. Also you need to zero your sight (correct the allighment).

personally, I wouldnt use an optical sight, games are too fast to line up and shoot through it. Iron sights and tracers (paintballs) are the way to go. But if you want to use one, thats cool too...just my 2 cents.

My mr series scope is completely awsome. I can use it without taking time to line up my shots. with both eyes open, i can see the field, and the dot clearly with out a tactical disadvantage.

I've heard good and bad about scopes, I guess its all a personal preference really. You should try to borrow one from a friend before you buy one, might save you some money.

Ugh people... get your words right. Mr Series SIGHT not SCOPE... it does not magnify anything. It just puts a red dot/crosshair where you're aiming.
Sight = Red Dot/Crosshair Scope = Magnification with a crosshair. If you get a rail, get the MR3 rail/MR Series rail. It will work best with the MR1 guaranteed. I had to mod my rail to put my Tasco Red/Green dot on though.
