Default new MR1 user with questions

Brand spanking new to paint ball and while I've done a bit of research I still have some questions. I live in a small town and like to buy locally so I probably won't order off line. I've found an MR1 and like the looks and reviews I've found SO: #1- how do I match the ball size to my barrel. Do I have to buy some and measure/keep buying and measuring until I get the right size? #2- how many shots can I expect out of a 20 oz co2 cylinder? I'm not sure I like the idea of a big ole co2 tank hanging off the end of the gun. How many of you use a remote tank and what would I need to do this? Pros and cons? Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

For the ball to bore fit, use the search button (right under Private messages on the top-right corner). I have a 20oz and I don't know the specifics, but, it lasts a whole day usually and it isn't too bulky. I use a remote and all you need is the line, the adapter that comes with it and somewhere to put the tank. Pros: more balanced gun, less weight on gun and evens helps prevent pressure spikes. Cons: Can snag, need a pack/vest/harness to hold tank. Hope that helped!

Yeah what Irish said, and also if you like to play in the winter, the remote lines acts as an expansion chamber for your CO2.

For the first question, the bore size is .68 cal, that's the size of ball that the MR 1 uses. For the 2nd question, I get out of a 12oz, around a 1000 or more rounds. I guess tht will give you the idea. For the remote line, the pro's are that the remote will serve as a kind of expansion chamber, also the marker will be lighter. For the con's, the marker is attached to the line, in a case that you are in a deep jungle and you slip maybe the line will get damage and loss all the CO2.

What he means by size isn't the general caliber. He wants to know how to find a good paint-to-bore match. Such as one barrel is .689 and another could be .687. Certain paints are those specific sizes. But, each paintball is unique so, good luck.

Wasn't it otter that had the list of common paint sizes and bore sizes?
