Scuba Tank 4500psi...?

Can't Find a Scuba Tank for 4500psi... Does anyone know a place where i can find one?? im planning to fill up my own tank instead going to places all the time.

4500 psi scuba tanks are pretty hard to find. I was looking for one and I think I found 1. I think your best bet will be eBay. That or you can call a welding supply store and find out how much a large tank would cost. I think they run around $800. You can also rent tanks from welding supply stores so that might be an option too.

this guy on pbaz was selling one for like $300, he said he bought it for $600 i dont know where he bought it from. you can buy a fill station and a tank that fills up to 2250 for $200 i think

Standard scuba tanks are rated at 3000psi, special tanks (spun steel) can be filled to 5000psi and if you found one for $300 that's a pretty good deal as long as it doesn't need to be hydro'd anytime soon. Hard part though is finding someone to fill them. As previously mentioned, most welding supply dealers will rent nitrogen tanks that can provide 4500 psi fills (renting one varies but expect $30 to $60 a year not including fills which run~ $20 to $40 a shot), they are beasts, usually 4 and 1/2 feet tall and weighing in at just under a ton, not real mobile w/o a dolly to cart then around with. My 80 cu. ft. scuba tank ran me $180 new and the fill station was another $40, you can shop around and find used ones cheaper (ebay ) and are probably your best/cheapest bet.

Like the statement above, standard scuba tanks are rated for 3000psi. Scuba tanks that can be filled to 4500psi are equipped with DIN valves instead of normal yoke. DIN valves are rated for high pressure and is used mainly for stability during dives. I would recommend going with Al80 at 3000 psi, or if you really want 4500psi, go for Steel 90 or Steel 120.
