They said that they would give me 100% cash back for the defect items which seem to be all of them. So thats over $150 I would have to spend on a barrel kit.

That would be the direction I would head. DW's are only $89 and if you already have one for you Ion that means you have freak inserts for it.

Well I would like to try something else, the dw just isn't what I'm looking for on my spyder. Any other reccomendations?

.688 UL was too small for even small paint.

I had barrel breaks with dxs bronze in the .688 but not in the stock .689 or .691 of various guns. It actually was a good barrel for procaps field aside from the fact that the stuff was so small that it went past my detents and would actually get chopped because half a ball made it to the breech.
