My Carbon Fiber Acid trigger for my old Vice. Ordered it a few weeks ago when I still owned it and since I currently am holding on to till i meet up with andy to give it to him, I got to install it and play around with it

***Copy and pasted from review I put on pbn***

I contacted John a few weeks ago about getting a trigger after I saw the one he made for my cousins viking. I knew I wanted to get the scythe shape but I am rather picky when it comes to how far the curve of the trigger actually sticks out. I had a critical DM6 trigger in the past and loved the pre-travel adjustment as it let me set how far the curve of the trigger stuck out. I pm'd john asking him about the difference in the shapes he had and if he could add a pre-travel screw to the top of the trigger. He wrote back telling me about the differences in the shapes and said he could add the pre-travel screw, no problem. So I put in a order for the "Talon" shape with the pre-travel adjustment screw.

Fast forward to today and I got this in the mail:

Came nicely packaged with the trigger in a bag, instructions saying to contact john if I had any problems and a acid sticker. On the trigger you get all the set screws, a reverse magnet system and of course dual ball bearings.

Comparing it to a delrin closer style trigger I made and stock trigger (failed pre-travel attempt encase your wondering what happened, top ripped apart while tapping it)

To install the trigger I simply had to take the trigger pin out, pull my delrin trigger and slide the acid trigger in.

To install the magnet system I just had to open the grips, unscrew the stock spring mount and slide it out through the grip opening. After checking the magnet to insure which way to put it on, I put a small drop of super glue on the mount and stuck on the magnet, perfect fit:

Pics on the gun:

You can see that the pre-travel screw has the right placement for the vice and is working perfectly in the next pics:

With the pre-travel screw I am able to adjust the trigger back and forth alittle under a 1/4", which is a big difference in how it feels.

The overall workmanship on the trigger is very good, you can see the attention to detail. I have owned two techna triggers in the past (one timmy and one DM5) and will say that is it right on par with that kind of quality.

After I got the trigger all setup and adjusted to my liking I put about 8 pods of reballs through the gun. This trigger rips!! Return speed is extremely fast thanks to the light weight and magnet system. It is extremely easy to hit high rates of fire and keep it consistent. There is very little side to side play, which makes it that much easy to walk.

Only con I found in the trigger was that the trigger stop adjustment screw worked its way out alittle and stopped the trigger from activating the switch after about 3 pods. No big deal though as I simply took the screw out, added some blue locktite, put it back in and waited about 15 min for it to dry. I put about 5 pods through the gun after that and it didn't move at all, simple fix to easy problem.

Overall I HIGHLY recommend picking up one of John's triggers, well worth the money!
