Default Pilot ACS on the way, looking for info!

Ok so hi everyone! First time poster, long time listener...Well, not really.

Why isn't there an introductions forum in here?

Anyways some of my coworkers have got into paintball so I figured I'd buy some kit.

I've got a Pilot ACS kit on the way and have been reading on here looking for what I need to know about it when I get it and what I should upgrade. The kit I bought has a force loader, a new clamping feedneck and also a new trigger in it. I've seen around here about looking @ new barrels and different grips, so I've got a J&J 14" ceramic barrel and a set of black Dye sticky grips in my cart right now (which are both from what I understand pretty good). I've also got a bottle cover to keep my tank happy (just a 20oz CO2 to start).

So I'm wondering what else should I be looking for, if anything?

I see people talking about regulators and vertical adapters and ASAs and all kinds of stuff. I've looked at some of these vertical adapters and honestly don't like the looks of the ones I've seen, they're all a little too stylized and blingy for me. Are there any that are more, I don't know, military/mechanical looking, rather than looking like an adult toy?

Thanks for your help!

The reason people change the vertival adapter is so they can put on an aftermarket regulator. The stock VA is design/model specific not the industry standard threaded. You are good to get started, I would say the J&J is a great upgrade and so are the dye grips. In the future I would recommend a high pressure air tank instaed of CO2.

No tank cover, on a co2 tank all the cover does is cause shootdown. No need to upgrade, you have all the really crappy stock parts replaced (feedneck and barrel)go play with it for a while and then decide.

yeah looks good. As kenny said though, take the cover off the tank if it is CO2, the only other recommended is a HPA hp tank. but Co2 will work fine for now.

No metal tank needs to be covered, the reason tank covers exist are to protect the epoxy on fiber wrapped tanks. The aluminum tanks are made of does not dent/scratch easy, my 20oz got dropped on a rock once and there is no damage.
