Has anyone ever put rain-x on the inside of there barrel to make it self cleaning, if so let me know how it worked.

I have. I have no proof that it's better than not using it, but it certainly didn't hurt anything. I think it does help a bit, for awhile. But you have to apply it after every day of use, more than that if you should happen to have a barrel break or chop.

Just make sure you don't clog it in the bore and apply it unevenly. I use shotgun swabs for applying and buffing it off.

holy smokes...i haven't seen this trick mentioned since prolly 2003 on OS-KUSA...
always wanted to try it, never did...like above, can't hurt it if done right!

i read about this on otters site. it would make sense. it does work on auto glass.

It's very temporary....my advice.....get a marker that doesn't break paint and don't get too stingy on the paint!
