The rail is an airsoft part that had 3/8 mounting to it, I just cut the plastic out to fit over the 7/8 weaver rail. I originally toyed with trying to obtain the tippmann X7 g36 rail, its alot cheaper but just wasn't available at the time...that and says tippmann all over it and has the cut-out in the top rail of the handle to accomodate the warpfeed and hopper of the X7. Overall the airsoft rail, though more expensive had the look I wanted. I'm also using a q-loader with this setup.

This is what it looks like without the front shroud on:

I'm still trying to decide whether or not to use PVC plastics or light gage steel for the front shroud so I can weld it together and be super sturdy for the new shroud. Definately a work in progress.
hmm thats pretty bad, i wanted to see how it looked because im thinking of turning my mr into a halo battle rifle. As for the x7 hopper i have ideas for that also, i want to try to see if i can get halo internals to fit

Hey ViperX is there any chance that you can do a write up on how to mod the g36 stock to work?

Which rail is that?
