I just resently bought a Spyder EM1 off of ebay and it has the upgrade board in it. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to switch it to turbo.

Turbo isn't real. I dont' know why they say it has a turbo 2x mode, but it doesn't unless you cheat and solder a wire between the middle and empty prongs on the microswitch. HOWEVER. I can help you mod a tboard to work in it OR mod it to use a bushmaster board. EM-1's use mostly bushmaster parts, so if you want to know what it uses, just send me a PM

I'm not to worried about not having turbo, semi is just fine so i don't need a new board. But are there any good upgrades for them? And I was kinda curious what year the EM1 was made.

Around 2000-2002, I would have to dig through my stack of APGs to find the right dates.
Bushmaster valves & VA or BKO VAs. Bolts, I recall bandit made one & maybe someone else. From eyeballing photos, a bushy one will fit. Oh ya, Just about any frame from other markers will work & boards also. You would have to cut/mill the stock frame off the tray to put the different frame on. If I decide to go all out on my Emmie Ill end up with all new custom internals. |

Damon is making a new universal T-board soon that should be great for our EM1's, it's VERY small and would fit easily into the stock frame and comes with all the hookups so that you just solder and it works on any electronic marker. If I don't find another alternative I think I'm gonna try that when it comes out.

Spyder Tboards work great in the EM-1. I have one in mine, it's a ver-a tboard, but it fits in perfectly, just uses 1 screw to hold it in place, and everything fits like stock. You just have to cut off the capacitor.
