Well the Vs1 WQould be absolutely perfect for what your wanting then, it uses either co2 or compressed air and your gonna use a gravity fed hopper so a marker with eyes would greatly help in preventing chops. The Vs1 Sound perfect for what you need!!
Good luck ![]()

Bro, go with the VS1. I personally have a Pilot and have been paintballing for a couple years now, mostly woodsball and sometimes at the speedball field. Here is why I think the VS1 is a better choice over the 98 custom (great gun also though).
1) VS1 has eyes...this is a MUCH bigger plus than you might think if you've never owned a gun with eyes. It will save you so much of the headaches that come with chopping paintballs. The 98 custom comes with an anti chop system from tippmann...again like I said, it ain't bad, but it's not as good as eyes which are electronically checking for the paintball to be correctly seated in the gun body BEFORE it allows you to fire the gun. 2) The gun is lighter and more arguably more comfortable to carry. VS1 is a new milled aluminum spyder body with lighter internals than the 98 Custom. Kingman also made a new grip for the VS1 which is more comfortable than the old spyder grip on the Pilot. The VS1 has a delrin bolt (delrin is kind of like a plastic) meaning it's really light and allows the gun to fire much faster. Which leads me to the next point. 3) The gun is FAST. The VS1 will be a much much faster firing gun than the 98 custom. You will leave the entire tippmann marker line in the dust with the electric trigger frame on the VS1, in terms of Rate of Fire. This is very advantageous for you because you have the ability to suppress your opponents in cover while your teammates or yourself can move to a new position. I don't think you will regret getting the VS1 over the 98 Custom. In terms of reliability, I believe spyders to be the most reliable markers out there. They are so easy field strip...I mean easy, you just pull one pin out and the whole sucker is ready to be cleaned and reassembled. Tippmanns...forget about trying to take it apart in the field...again this is a very underrated feature, the ability to quickly field strip and clean. This will keep you out there playing more paintball and less time sitting by your car trying to figure out your own gun. I hope that helps! |
