Vike I understand the point your trying to make and I agree. I personally can't go into walmart without putting something in the buggy I don't "need" want mabey but need no. My grandparents refuse to shop there (fixed income). I agree with you about the bankrupt or buying someone out thing as well. I'm actully suprised that they haven't bought out Kmart or Target...yet.

I used to work at walmart, that sucked but I'm way passed that now. Now its publix for my groceries and target for everything else. Is it just me or does it seem even time I do have to go to walmart there is 30 registers and only 3-4 open...always puzzled me even when I worked there ![]()

I think that's the same at EVERY Wal-Mart. 47 registers, 10 self check registers, and only 3-4 open with a line of 12 people or more in each one...
When I worked for Homeland (used to be Safeway when I first started) we had a policy that if there were more than 3 people in line, we called someone up to help. If there was no one available, the MANAGERS came out and helped. But not a Wal-Mart! What I find so interesting is that just 10-15 years ago, Wal-Mart was the place to work if you were in high school or college, and even adults due to their stock options, their employee discounts, etc. Now, NO ONE wants to work there. Something's changed, and it's just not good there anymore. I was reading an article on Wal-Mart and an analyst said that Wal-Mart will be losing money soon if it doesn't change it's overall feel and look. They said, and I quote, "It's just not fun to shop at Wal-Mart anymore."
