Default Rodeo, w/smartparts 14" All American Barrel?

I just won a Rodeo w/14" smartparts all american barrel on e-bay and was wondering how good this set up is and if anyone has any exsperience with this set up. This is going to be my sons marker, It seemed like a decent deal for a boy getting started, whats your opinion? I have a Pilot ACS w/ the JJ S2 14" barrel how will they compare?

Congrats on the eBay win! A stock Rodeo is good with that barrel. I'd recommend checking the bolt for wear at the front top end. On the earlier runs of the Rodeo there was a tendancy for the sharp inside edge of the hole (where the feedneck sits) to wear the bolt which then scratches the inside of the body. I think this was corrected on later batches. If there is that kind of wear you can sand the inside edge off a little, just to take the sharpness away, then I recommend that you get a delrin bolt too. Make sure you clean out the top tube properly, the filings can be a pain to remove from a delrin bolt.

As for the barrels... I've used an all american and a ceramic. I think they're both good but it really depends on what size paint you use.
