spyder pilot with eyes

i recently purchased a spyder pilot with eyes , i believe its a 08 because it takes that stupid plastic elbow, i would like to upgrade the feed neck to a locking one, some say ion threaded feed neck will work for me and others say it wont , any help will be much appreciated thanks

Yes the Ion feedneck, to be more specific the Smart Parts Q lock clamping feedneck
