Default Completely new to paintball ( electra 09 with eyes)

Like I said before I'm new. I have had my gun since last year but have not had a chance to really use it till this year. I would like to do some upgrades but not sure what is compatable with my gun. I just bought ansgears version of the hush bolt but now that i have it in my hand i noticed that it doesn't have groves for the electronic eyes.. is this a problem???
The other thing is that I hate having something everyone else has and i would like to make it custom but i cant find regulators or bodykits, anything to make my marker custom other than a barrel. Please help!!!!

the ANS gear bolt is ment for older spyders get the hush bolt. ok now with the hush bolt your gonna need a new reg a CP reg is a great buy check Ebay.get a new board tadao makes a great after market board and its dirt cheap 13-20 bucks but if you get that board i would suggest you get the M7 chip for the board it would be a extra 20 bucks. that is the way my spyder is set up it shoots smoother and faster than a EGO and i shoot about 10.000 balls a month and i have had it for two years no problems and only 2 ball breaks.

Uh... yeah... Sure, Spud.

FNGTruck, there are tons of things you can do to the marker to make it your own, but all include Dremels and "at your own risk" disclaimers. If you really want to customize a gun, you buy either an old school Spyder, a 'Cocker.... or buy a CNC machine and make your own. The 09 Electra just doesn't have much available except for... well, the aforementioned barrels. DFSniper, Otter, Vikingshadow, and Shunut have all done excellent work with Dremels or otherwise on their older model Spyders, and I'm sure you could probably attempt the same, but it just won't be worth it. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it is how it is. Buy a proper barrel, shoot the hell out of your marker, and just plain enjoy it.

First off, you need to know what your gun does before start falling into the upgrade symdrome path.

For the newer electra you are so setup from the factory its silly.

Everything flows well, and operates smoothly. There are little things you could do as you get more serious like a barrel kit, although i found that the 2-piece that came with it worked quite well in most applications.

As far as bolt on pieces, here is the list
-VS/RS Tadao board. It fits, but not perfect, fully adjustable
-Regs- As long as the hose comes out the bottom of the reg it will fit with out issue. If the hose fittings are on the side you will have to take the trigger frame off to screw it in and possibly shim it to keep it out of the way.
-On/off ASA- Any bottom line will work, the electra has rails and inline screw pattern.
-Bolt- There are a couple bolts out there, make sure they are specifically made for an 08 and newer electra. Alamo city might make one.
-Feedneck- I believe the feedneck is propitiatory. so your SOL for now.

What I recommenced. Buy a chrono and some paint. then "sweet spot" your reg. Its not complicated but after adjustment its a world of difference than just close enough.
