How far does your MR2 shoot?

How far does your mr2 shoot when you hold it horizontal? I'm not sure but I think mine isn't shooting very far... Approximately how far does yours shoot?

The distance any marker will shoot depends on so many things. What you need is a chronograph to set your speed to under 300fps.

Yeah, you wan't to make sure you are 300 FPS (most feilds actually have a limit around 280), and any marker around there, all other things equal, will shoot just as far as yours, and no further. Paintball markers probably have an effective range of no more than ~85 feet reliably, without longballing or any of that.

Yeah my local field has a 280 limit. mine didnt seem to be going 85 feet. I am going to get a barrel though. That should help distance.

Depends on what the diameter of paint you're using. Stock MR2 barrel isn't exactly a medium or small bore. If the paint you're using is significantly smaller than the bore, you will lose distance because alot of the pressure that should be behind the ball pushing it, is escaping around the ball instead. If you remove the barrel, let a ball drop through it and it doesn't stop at all in the barrel, it's too small for the bore and you'll lose not only distance but velocity as well -

I really don't know what size paint it is. My local field only lets us use their field paint... I also dont have any. I blew off all I had. I'll call em and find out what diameter the paint is...

The chrono was averaging between 275-295. (I use co2- don't have enough money to get an air tank yet...)

What they said. Barrels themselves in no way will increase your range (I wonder why there's the common belief that a longer barrel provides more range?), barring the Flatline or Apex. You want to make sure you have a good paint to bore match to maximize air efficiency behind the ball.

275-295 is a good range for a CO2 marker. More than likely its the paint being to small for your barrel.
