Default Paintball Laser Tag?!?!

ok, idk if you guys have ever seen this but i mean, how can you consider something "paintball" if theres no paint?
heres what they posted on facebook:

heard about this a few years ago. its pretty interesting. basically every time you fire, it fires a laser and theres a gun-mounted HUD that keeps track of your hits, kills, health, etc.

Well if you actually had to pull the trigger for every shot but you could walk it like an e-marker then it would be similar to paintball but I wouldn't consider it real paintball at all.

I think the sting of getting hit is what makes paintball so much fun. No one wants to get hit so you try harder. Why use lasers? Think it would build a false security. Just my opinion.

personally, i think this is just a new application of the MILES gear that we had in the suc. army had them too, of course. they were used with blanks, the vibration of the blank firing would transmit the laser beam onto target. they didn't fire reliably each time, or would go off every time you went to ground, "killing" whomever was next /in front of you, and generally inaccurate and unreliable.

hopefully, with progresses in technology and manufacturing, the performance of the system overall has improved substantially.
