7-hole Venturi Bolt

Being quite new, I may be surfing too much, so I run into this item on ebay:

I like this part of description:

Fits all mechanical Spyders (and some compatibles) except rear cocking models, top cocking models, electronic models and VS models.

So, whats left? Side cocking only?

And, is this any good at all?

its designed for the old striker-cocking ones like the Classic. i've seen that style before, but i dont remember where. your best bet for performance would still be to have a bolt with an open face (take the venturi out of the stock bolt).

Yup, I've read here about taking out venturi on MR1 (I've removed it on my MR1, but had no chance to test it yet).
As there are so many advices to remove venturi, I was wandering why should anyone make a bolt with even smaller openings?

theres a myth that venturi bolts will even airflow around a paintball making it more accurate. not sure if this works, but it does lower your efficiency.

All's I know is that Otter was never a fan of it. I think it was all a sales pitch.

that looks like an old starfire bolt. very air restrictive. not a good bolt if you want maximum air flow.
