from what I can tell you get:
-smaller body
-constant air flow (finally ditch the leakiest part on a DM)
-Trigger angle is now adjustable
-new detent system (i still hate the eye pipe design)

That thing is TINY! Looks pretty good - never had to deal with nor even heard negative or positive (until now) about the eye pipe thing, so I don't have anything to say on it. Like the trigger idea, though.

My problem with the eye insert in my DM7 is that it's always cracking and needs to be replaced on a regular basis. If the barrel is screwed in too tight you risk cracking it. It's also a pain to clean when paint gets behind it...

I had a concept from along time ago when I had to deal with timmies a lot and the eyes would get dirty. I wanted to make a lens cover for the eyes out of fiber optic rods. It would have kept dirt and paint from accumulating around the edges because it would be cut flush with the bore of the breach.

Oh well... but the DM9 does look nice and much smaller than the DM8, which seems to be heavier than a DM7...

I am actually very disappointed. Beautiful absolutely beautiful but not innovative at all*seems to be so far). The trigger is amazing thats definitely something im gonna get for my m8. Still nothing thats that innovative except for the trigger and the new detents and a smaller body. Same reg same airport seems to be the same bolt and same board. OH well dyes by far my fav company but at least we get cheap dm8s.
