Unless the anodizing is on cast aluminum, seems to me the type of anodizing would dictate the term of wear, not necessarily the aluminum material itself. There is chromic, sulfuric, and hardcoat anodizing. Throw some hardcoat on some aluminum and it's not going to wear. If you get some cheap anodizing somewhere, chances are it's not going to be hardcoat and be more prone to wear. You normally get what you pay for -
