Your main issue is probably the solenoid that you're using. It's probably not strong enough, doesn't provide enough travel, or both. Another issue is probably the sear that you're using. If the sear's not moving at all, get more leverage... Of course, more leverage means more distance, so that brings the travel of the solenoid back into question. You also probably don't want to pump that much power into your solenoid... You'll burn it out... This plan is flawed in MANY ways, the main flaw being, however, that you can't get a single shot... The sear won't reengage until you let go of the trigger... And chances are that you can't pull that quickly... So you'll get double/triple/quadruple/etc. fires all the time and end up with a colorful soup....
