If they look black on the outside of the lid, then I know what you're talking about. Open the lid, if you have finger nails, push in the center pin (from the inside) using your fingernail, or use a Flat-head screwdriver, and they should pop somewhat out, then just pull those out, then pull out the rest of the black piece. The two pieces both come out on the same side. When you push them out, you have to push in between the 4 little claw type thingers.
