Think I've narrowed it down to those 2 choices. Might be leaning more towards the Turtle Beach headset though. The user reviews are better but it seems like the professional reviews for the Sharkoon are better. Wish I had the money to shell out for a full 5.1 surround though. -_-

Just get a 2.1 with the best quality sound. A good stereo controller ought to give it a good directional feel. Most 5.1 sets will only take in a 2.1 signal anyway then split it over 5 speakers. It sounds pretty much the same but has neat buzzwords in it. Take it from me with the Logitech 7.1 set... sure there are 7 mini speakers, but my computer still registers it as a 2.1 device and it sounds perfect. Plenty of directionality.
